Massimo Monti, CEO of BurdaEducation, Mamadou Goundiam, Director for Africa and Penelope Bender, Head of Global Education Services, attended the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES) meeting in Mexico City from March 25-29. CIES brings researchers, practitioners, service providers and students together every year to discuss major issues in the fields of international and comparative education.
BurdaEducation sponsored a table at the conference, giving the more than 3,000 participants the opportunity to learn about Burda’s products and services. Team members had the opportunity to participate in multiple conference sessions and hold meetings with a range of partners and country representatives. Issues of textbooks and teaching & learning materials (TLM) were highlighted in many conference sessions, demonstrating the need for Burda’s expertise and support.
CIES is always an opportunity to showcase and learn from successes and challenges in the field. BurdaEducation was pleased to be able to advance the conversation on textbooks and TLM. We look forward to working with many of the colleagues we met and spoke with at CIES over the year to come and to next year’s meeting in San Francisco.
